Stun Gun A Useful Tool

Stun Gun, why not? When it comes to your safety and being ready for any situation, why not have every tool available? There are many products available for this very reason. Stun Guns, Pepper Sprays and a whole mess of different types of keychains. Seems like a daunting task to pick one. Well i’m here to help.

A Stun Gun is one of many ways to defend yourself from a threat or a potential threat. Taking into account that your expectation isn’t that of a Hollywood movie. A prime example of this ( and possibly telling my age at this point) is the old movie “Batman Returns”. In the movie catwoman takes a stun gun and sticks it to the bad guy and turns him into a charged skeleton. As entertaining as this can be it’s just not what happens.

What a Stun Gun does however is deliver a high voltage charge to the attacker. Therefore causing pain and confusion. This is off of the initial attack. The longer the Stun Gun is held on the attacker the worse the effects become. Most stun guns operate on voltage simply because a high amount of amps can actually kill you. As a matter of fact 1 to 4 amps can cause your heart to stop. That is why a Stun gun will operate on milliamps. Enough to cause a high amount of voltage to cause extreme pain and in severe cases can cause the muscles to lock up.

But the main reason a Stun Gun is used in self defense is to cause the attacker pain and allow you to get away. A good example of a High Voltage Stun Gun would be a “Runt”. A Runt Stun Gun delivers 80 Million Volts of electricity to the would be attacker. Causing them to think twice about coming back for more. But what makes the Runt even cooler, is the fact it has a Safety Pin Wrist Strap. What this does is the Runt Stun Gun will not discharge unless this pin is in place. Meaning that if you are ever in a situation that the attacker was to grab your Stun Gun, the pin would come out and be disabled.
